| Camping has been enjoyed by families,
scouts, and adventurers for many years. As kids
we would camp in our own back yards. We just couldn't get enough! When is the last time
you took the family or some friends on a camping trip? |

Camping Tips
Pick a camping type you can enjoy: Don't over do the
adventure. If everyone in your party is not up to
roughing it then we suggest you try a camp site with
some modern conveniences. If everyone yells Geronimo!
then go for the deep woods roughneck campsite. It's not
necessary to travel to the deepest darkest parts of the
land to enjoy camping.
- Don't Litter (Bring trash bags)
- Don't feed wildlife
- Get permission to camp private land
- Choose food wisely (non-perishable)
- Think Safety
- Bring plenty of water
- Bring flashlights (check batteries)
- Check for campfire restrictions or rules
- Put out campfires (triple check)
Take precautions when storing food. It attracts
the animals. You may want to ask the local forest
ranger what to expect when taking food into the
wilderness. Are you ready for visitors? If not, you
may prefer the luxury and safety of a
cabin vacation. |
